Saving on home décor with B&M’s John Lewis inspired range

By November 7, 2018Uncategorized

John Lewis is a household name which provides quality homeware products. However, John Lewis is not exactly the most affordable place to buy décor for your home – especially if you are just starting out, as you will need multiple pieces of certain products.

If you want your home to look classy for less, you may believe your prayers have been answered by bargain store B&M. They have released a whole new homeware range which some are calling ‘identical’ to John Lewis’ homeware range and ‘very similar’ to the products which you will see in Next’s homeware section. It appears that shoppers are impressed with the range as it has been flying off the shelves, saving themselves hundreds of pounds.

It is very probable that the quality of the homeware range at B&M will not match up to the likes of Next or John Lewis. But the products are very ideal for those who are on a tighter budget and for those who are decorating their first home or for those who love a bargain!

Here are some of the top picks from the B&M range which appear to emulate that of the Autumn homeware range for John Lewis. If you were to buy all of these products from B&M rather than at John Lewis, you would be saving a total of £471! That is a huge amount of money which could be used for so many other things – including even more homeware.

Black and White Cushions & Throw

b-w-cushionsB&M is very popular for their decorative cushions and each season release seasonal ones, and this year is not an exception.

The AW18 cushion collection includes a Boho Tassel Cushion which is retailing for £5.99 per pop. Interestingly, it looks very similar to the Diamonds Cushion found in John Lewis for £25 per cushion.

To go with the cushion, both retailers brought out matching throws. Now that we have moved into the colder months, they may not go amiss. The matching Boho Tassel Throw at B&M sells for just £9.99, meanwhile, you would be forking out a whopping £115 for the John Lewis Avoca Heavy Diamond Throw.

Scented Candles

This is where B&M becomes our fairy godmother in offering us a beautiful candle both in aesthetics and smell. They are selling the large Karina Bailey Candle for £14.99, a candle which looks extremely similar to the Jo Malone Candles which are sold at John Lewis (as well as other retailers). These candles are considered luxury products, selling for £300 in John Lewis stores.

Sheepskin Rug

Sheepskin rugs can give a really cosy feel to any room and look very elegant. Luckily for us, B&M’s Faux Sheepskin rug can be purchased for just £19.99. The rug from John Lewis which is also a Faux Sheepskin one, retails for £35.

Metal Lantern

The Culinary Concepts Station Lantern will set you back £59.95, whereas the Venice Plated Lantern is being sold at B&M for a humble £12.99.
